uBinary does not wish to register with the FCA to provide Binary options trading to UK residents. Therefore, they are not legally allowed to accept UK traders.

uBinary is a growing brand among binary options trading brokers, and is CySec regulated. They offer a wide variety of accounts that ensure traders can enjoy investing at the right level for them personally. Initially founded by financial industry professionals, with more than 50 years of service in the sector, uBinary continues to grow.

They offer a wide variety of options, and all operate through a slick user-friendly trading portal. With up to a second market feed and 24-hour customer support, uBinary strives to excel in every area and delivers on their 3 guiding principles:

  • Principle 1. By simplifying the trading process, making it easy, safe and fun to trade with binary options.
  • Principle 2. By enabling traders, through 24-hour customer support, to share their trading wisdom.
  • Principle 3. By offering a user-friendly trading platform.

In addition, uBinary produces several innovative features on a regular basis. Here is other important information about the brand;

  • Demo Account – No
  • Minimum Deposit – £250
  • Minimum trade – £20
  • Signal service – Yes, Absolutely Free .
  • Bonus details – 10 risk free trades.
  • Mobile App – Yes. iOS only at the moment (Android version is in development).

Platform Features

The uBinary website is fast and engaging, and the trading area reflects this. This design is quite unique among other brokers. The traditional ‘trading’ area, with call and put buttons is not immediately visible. In uBinary, the trading area displays various data, and specific tools are only available when an asset or option has been selected.

Another change unique to uBinary is the sidebar option. These are ‘  social trading  ‘ and ‘  market news  ‘ which can be hidden or displayed as needed. The social trading menu scrolls through recent trades and the performance of other traders, giving users the ability to follow traders and monitor their trades. Market news area, as the name suggests, to keep up to date with market updates from around the world.

The central part of the trading area is dedicated to trading. The menu at the top allows certain types of options and then assets are selected. Below is a list of the most popular assets traded at that time. It is possible to trade quickly from the list. ‘ Up  ‘ or ‘  Down ‘ trading buttons are   available, next to the amount field. Similarly, strike and expiration prices are displayed on the line. When a trader fills in the amount field, they can hit ‘  submit  ‘ to make the trade there and then.

This reduced version of the trading window will be a real benefit to traders who want to spend the minimum amount of time actually trading – no distractions and no complications – freeing traders to spend time researching, rather than executing, trades. If however, the user chooses to view the latest price graph and the ‘trader selection’ barometer, simply clicking the ‘+’ to the right of the asset will open a more normal trading screen (more similar to those offered by competitors) with configured price graphs and layouts more traditional.

As well as allowing traders to choose the level of detail displayed, uBinary has gone further and offers multiple layouts as well. So traders who don’t like using the ‘list’ view, can choose four traditional windows at once, or just one enlarged trading window if preferred. It may be a configurable trading area found in the binary options sector.

Trading Options

uBinary offers options in currencies, indices, commodities and stocks. Their asset list is good, but currency is a clear strength. Other asset classes will likely grow as the brand grows.

The available option types are all common variations on the above / below options, with expiration the only true variance. The main strength though is the option builder, which opens up a lost path for traders, especially those looking to hedge or manage risk more effectively.

Optional types at uBinary;

  • Above / below – Traditional binary options, will the value of the asset go up or down?
  • 60 Seconds – Short-term trading is highly available on uBinary, with an expiration of only 60 seconds.
  • Speed Trade – Again, short term above/below options. This time with a timeout of 2 or 5 minutes.
  • Option Maker – Priority in trader flexibility. Option builders allow traders to select the asset, payout and expiration period they are looking for. It will also allow for a small return if the option finishes out of the money.
  • Long term – More traders are now using long term binary options as a conventional investment or hedging tool and uBinary has a good range of long term options.

Mobile

The mobile app on uBinary is currently only available on apple devices, with android being developed and released soon. The iOS app does not offer comprehensive trading services. All types of options are available like all assets.

The trading view differs from the website, as it deviates from a more traditional trading view, with prominent feature price graphs and large ‘  Above  ‘ and ‘  Below ‘ buttons  either side of the current strike price. All relevant information is available, making trading from a mobile device very easy. The layout also fits touchscreen phones while reducing the capacity for human error.

Below the trade button is an open position window and a closed position (trade history) window. These details all current and past trades, so the latest view can be seen at any time.

With the android version under development, it is possible that further changes will be made to add some features to the cross-platform mobile application. While the current offering works, it’s not spectacular either, but it does the job.

Payment

Trading payouts on UBinary generally hover around 77%, they can reach 95% on certain assets. Option builder features can offer 80% on some key asset types, and include the flexibility to be able to reduce that payout to ensure some funds are returned if the option settles in the  money  .

Withdrawal and deposit options

uBinary has, in the past, experienced some criticism surrounding their production service. In response, the firm has established a strict ‘compliance’ policy. Therefore the merchant must supply the following ID to process the withdrawal;

  • A valid photo ID such as a passport.
  • Utility Bill dated less than 3 months with current name and address.
  • Both sides of the credit / debit card will be used to make the initial deposit. Everything must be protected except: last 4 digits, name, expiry and CVV security digit on reverse.

These measures should, in theory, protect traders as well as brokers. To avoid delays, it is important to establish this information before requiring withdrawal. As usual (to avoid laundering) the amount up to the amount deposited must first be returned to the same source before other withdrawal methods can be used.

The bank account used for the withdrawal must match the name on the trading account, the minimum amount that can be requested is £50. uBinary suggests withdrawals to debit or credit cards will take between 3 and 7 days, and up to 10 days to the bank account. This is longer than rival firms and something uBinary should look to improve – next to it, withdrawals are free, which is not always the case elsewhere.

Deposits can be made via credit card, Neteller bank wire transfer and CashU ewallets. The minimum deposit is initially £250. No charges are made for deposits and funds are available for trading immediately. It is possible to open an account without making a deposit, but it is not possible to trade.

Other features

uBinary offers its customers the following features and benefits:

  • Buy Me Time – An innovative trading tool that allows traders to extend the expiration time in saving options and increase the overall strike rate, and profit. This is a unique feature for uBinary.
  • Option Maker – This gives traders the option to build their own trades, choose assets, payouts and expiration times. Especially useful for traders who have a specific niche and know how to maximize their knowledge.
  • Buy Me Out – uBinary provides the option to close the initial offer, either to lock in profits or reduce losses.
  • The Flip – Literally flip the trade the other way if it’s going the wrong way
  • Advanced charts – Charts with multiple timeframes and indicators give traders greater power for research.
  • Account Level – From  Micro  to  Platinum  , traders can open the type of account that suits them and their investment needs.

The educational material at uBinary is in-depth, and the documentation that compliments their trading area is excellent. The majority of features on uBinary have been designed to offer traders more flexibility, so they represent the broker of choice for any trader who might feel a little limited with their current broker or platform.
